Fallout 2 is set 80 years after the first game and follows the journey of the Chosen One, a descendant of the original protagonist, who is tasked with finding a crucial device to save their dying tribal village.

In a post-nuclear future, the descendant of an ancient exiled hero must leave his tribe in search of the Garden of Eden Creation Kit, the last chance of survival for his people.
